I Wanna Get Away

Like most people in Texas, I have flown Southwest Airlines for years and years. I always have found them to be a very, pleasant, nice group of people, who ran an efficient, friendly business.

Unfortunately, something has happened to make me reconsider my relationship with them. The last two times that I have flown them outside of Texas on Southwest, my  luggage has made a number of side trips without me. Obviously, losing my luggage once could have been just an accident. Losing my luggage twice suggests to me that Southwest may have a problem.

I suspect that they know that they have a problem because they had a pretty, sweet natured young lady at a desk in the middle of the baggage claim area to assist people in finding  their lost luggage. Obviously management knows that it has a problem and is not making any serious effort to address the problem.  Sad.

The next time that I need to travel outside of Texas, Southwest Airlines will be at the bottom of my list of possible carriers.  The money saved from their low fares is offset by the fear of them misplacing my luggage again.  I am saddened that our relationship has come to such an abrupt end, but it was their choice, not mine.
